Driver Skills Australia Supports Junior Drivers at Scouts Rally SA 

The Driver Skills Australia (DSA) Rally Team is on the road to Adelaide this weekend for round 3 of the 2011 Bosch Australian Rally Championship – the Scouts Rally SA. 

The black DSA / Britz sponsored Subaru WRX driven by Mark Butcher has been serviced and is ready for the fast and slippery conditions in the forests just outside of Adelaide. 

“I am really happy with the car setup and we have fitted new parts in areas that have caused us problems this year including brakes and suspension. With a clean run we hope to collect some more points in the series. We are currently in 6^th outright and this has exceeded our expectations for our first ever full season. Anything now is a bonus!” said driver and DSA managing director Mark Butcher. 

The team have decided to support two young drivers competing in the junior challenge – James Rodda (Subaru WRX) and Tristan Kent (Mitsubishi Evo).  

“I met these two young guys recently at events and was really impressed with their attitude, professionalism and driving ability. I decided to lend some support for this weekend by sponsoring them and invite other companies to get behind these two talented young drivers” said Mark. Both James and Tristan will be working at some Driver Skills Australia defensive driving courses promoting safe driving. 

Mark and his team arrive in Adelaide today and will be at the media event tomorrow with the Subaru. A big change from last weekend where Mark won his class and set outright fastest 2WD stage times in his 1978 Mk2 Escort in the Styx Rally near Hobart. 

“With lots going on its been great to enjoy some rallying both in my Escort and this weekend in the Subaru – and I hope that I can help James and Tristan as well. There will be heaps of competition on the weekend and the three of us will have our own battle I am sure” said Mark.
